In Teen Fashion Week, campers step into the role of fashion designers — sketching ideas, sourcing materials, and sewing original garments just like a real design studio (cue the Project Runway energy).
The week kicks off with a fabric shopping trip, where designers learn how to choose materials based on color, drape, and structure. Using their finds, each camper will design and sew one complete outfit — either a dress or a top and bottoms — from concept to finished piece.
Then it’s time for the ultimate design challenge: a thrifting and re-purposing mission. Campers will source secondhand garments and unexpected materials, then reimagine them into something totally new. This portion of the week is all about creativity under constraints, smart problem-solving, and sustainable fashion thinking.
Throughout the week, designers will build skills in:
Garment construction and fit
Fabric selection and design planning
Creative upcycling and reuse
Working through design challenges at the machine
Perfect for teens who love fashion, thrive on creative challenges, and want to push their sewing skills beyond the basics.
For ages 11 to 15.Registration for this schedule starts on 01/05/2026 and ends on 06/13/2026
Participants must be 11 years to 15 years old when the program starts.
